Independence, MO
When you get invited on a weekend getaway… you say “yes!”. I got the chance to road trip to Independence, MO with the Husband and we got some much needed R&R! This cute, small town (located about 20 min east of Kansas City, MO) is like something out of a movie. Unique shops along with locally owned restaurants line the streets. A favorite of mine being Clinton’s, the cute soda fountain shop where we got some amazing rootbeer floats!
Not to mention the amazing history that is found here. Intricate mansions that date back to the 1800s along with multiple museums. Don’t forget to stop by the Vaile Mansion, so gorgeous there! Click HERE to see a list of all the attractions available!
